Learn to listen.

From Beaver Meadow Cemetery, Leyden, MA:

Animals speak
Learn to listen

The tall grass

From Beaver Meadow Cemetery, Leyden, MA:

Calm be her sleep! May the tall
Grass wave lightly,
Above the meek bosom that
Blessed us of yore.

In time prepare.

From Christ Church Cemetery, Guildford, VT:

While here below
All mortals know
That we are born to die.
May each with care
In time prepare
To meet above the sky.

Remember only my best.

From Christ Church cemetery, Guildford, VT:

Stand for a moment beside me
And remember only my best.

God and the Pepsi Man

From Christ Church Cemetery, Guildford, VT:

Our lives are made of moments,
Not of days and not of years
They sometimes bring us laughter,
Often joy, and even tears
But we all know in a moment
Our lives can change for evermore
Would we, should we do things different
If we knew what was in store
Paul lived in these moments
With his children and his wife
Experiencing the world anew
Through the grandchildren in his life
But right now God and the "Pepsi Man"
Are probably on hole #10
Paul's telling stories of his family
And how wonderful life had been.

His Devilish Grin

From Christ Church Cemetery, Guildford, VT:

No one will ever forget
The boy we all met
With his devilish grin
Our hearts he would win
The sparkle in his eyes
His politeness undenied
Grown into a handsome man
Looking forward to future plans
Gone from us his borrowed home
To a place never to be alone
Tonight a new star shines bright
Just over to your right
Too young he left our time
To watch over us left behind.
Love, Nancy
